Final: How To Video

This final will assess your pre-production planning, production of the video, and post-production editing and exporting project into video file.

1. List of Instructions [Graded]
- Choose a topic (something you can film during class, ask teacher if you are not sure if you can film it during class)
- Describe what you need
- In 5-10 steps, describe how to do it
- Receive a Critique from a classmate: Write your name, their name, and the critique
- Revise your instructions based on the critique you received
(you may do this all on same piece of paper or separate papers)

2. Storyboard your How To Video [Graded]
-Plan visually how this video will be filmed.
(you may do this on paper in drawing, collage, etc. or on computer)

3. Film your video [Wednesday 12/6]

4. Edit your video [Friday, Monday 12/8, 12/11]
    Export your video into video file (i.e. MOV file/QuickTime file)

5. Present to the class, or finish working on the video [Tuesday 12/12]

Final: Wednesday 12/13 (2 hour class-Written Final and then Movie or finish working on the video)

Make sure:
-  The 5-10 instructions are clear and can be followed, steps are in order and make sense.
-  The Quality of Video uses good composition, stable camera work, no single-shot
& "sprinkler" segments
-  The Quality of Editing trims excess footage, includes only relevant footage, no "jump cuts" or rough
cuts between clips
-  Title and credits included, with no errors in spelling or grammar
-  If voice instruction is used, the voice is clear and easy and loud enough to hear (but not too loud) and understand, no excessive background noise.

The entire video has no effective visual instruction/demonstration, the video might as well be a how-to article or audio instruction only.

The sound/music matches the video and does not distract and is present throughout the whole video.

The Written Final taken on Wednesday (12/13) will be worth 30 Points, making this final total of 100 points.
